Harry Kyriakodis advises that the
Philadelphia portion is leased from the city of Philadelphia and
DRPA (Delaware River Port Authority- the Parent company of
PATCO) pays rent for use of this subway. We do not know the
"Landlord" to whom PATCO pays rent.
Unless noted, all stations have two tracks
and a high island platform.
15th-16th and Locust
only one track is used except during Rush hours when both tracks
are used. Tracks continue to 18th Street and at one
time were to continue to 46th Street but finances
stopped this pre-PATCO extension. Columns are tiled in light
yellow with cream and the platform pavers are three tone grey.
The mezzanine has nature relief elements in the tile. This
station has full ADA. This station connects to the underground
concourse.

Franklin Square was last used
during the American Bicentennial. Sources outside of DRPA and
PATCO advise that studies are planned on its fate. It has a
center exit from what appears to be two side platforms but in
fact the platform is one island platform with the exit in the
middle of the platform surrounded by a curtain wall. Tile is
white with green accents like the Broad Street Line
We now cross the Benjamin Franklin Bridge.
Locals advise that there were plans for a station in the towers
of the bridge.

passageway to Rutgers Camden which, according to locals, was
closed due to crime concerns. The platform pavers are like 12th
and 13th and Locust and columns are tiled in red and
cream. The mezzanine has exits to Arch Street at the east end
and Market Street on the east end. The Cooper Street exit is
closed. A conversation with a local user of the station advised
that the Rutgers passageway (Cooper Street exit) was straight
ahead and went under the street. The mezzanine, in
Broad Street style is white tile with
blue accents. Due to new skylights, the station is light and
airy.

King Blvd. The station has an exit at each end of the platform.
The West end (Philadelphia Bound end) has a stairway and an

serves as a waiting room for the River

leading up to the Walter Rand Transportation Center on the east
sided of Broadway, which also houses a large NJT (and Greyhound)
bus depot and waiting room with restrooms and newsstand, and the

crossover was installed just east of the station.
