Temple
University is a four track station, with two platforms –
one between the northbound tracks and one between the southbound
tracks. The tracks are elevated. Each platform has a stairway
and an elevator at the south end leading to the ground outdoors.
There is no other entrance/exit.
There is no enclosed mezzanine. The ground
level entrances are protected from precipitation because they
are beneath the railroad. The ground is covered by cement. There
is no ticket office or ticket vending machine.
North
Broad Has four tracks and two low island platforms It is
in a slight cut. Platforms are wood.
Spring
Garden had four tracks and two low side platforms
Tioga
had four tracks and two low side platforms
Nicetown
had four tracks and two low side platforms
Wayne
Junction has four active tracks and three bypass tracks
to the north. Eastbound has a high island and westbound a low
island. The north pair of tracks has a separate low island
between the north track and the closest bypass track. A high
platform for inbound trains is under construction.

a nice stone stationhouse on the westbound platform
Jenkintown-
Wyncote has two tracks and two low side platforms. It is
in a slight cut and has two nice stationhouses
Noble
has two tracks and two low side platforms. It is at grade with a
crossover and bus shelters on the eastbound platform. There is a
station house on the westbound platform.
Rydal
has two tracks and two low side platforms. a station house is on
both platforms and is near grade
Meadowbrook
has two tracks and two low side platforms with bus shelters on
both platforms
Bethayres
has two tracks and two low side platforms. It has mini high
platforms at the head end of the train. A station house serves
the westbound platform while bus shelters serve the eastbound
platform.
Philmont
has two tracks and two low side platforms It has mini high
platforms at the head end of the train. A station house serves
the westbound platform while bus shelters serve the eastbound
platform.
Forest
Hills has two tracks and two low side platforms. It has
mini high platforms at the head end of the train. It has bus
shelters serving both platforms.
Somerton

Woodbourne
has four tracks which become three tracks and one low side
platform on the north side only with a mini high platform at the
west end. No evidence of the south platform was found.
Yardley
has two tracks and two low side platforms. A station house
serves the westbound platform and both have a mini high platform
at the head end of the train. We now cross the Delaware River.
West
Trenton has two tracks and two low side platforms with
wood canopies. Brick Station house is on both platforms. This
station once had four tracks, the outer tracks being removed. A
careful examination of the platforms will reveal the location of
the removed tracks. Trains relay east of the station via a
siding to the Southeast. The right of way is four tracks wide
east of the station.
New Jersey Transit has
plans to run service from this station to meet the
Raritan Valley Line at Bound Brook. If
and when this happens this line may get some needed TLC.
