Britney Spears expressed support for a video made by her ex-fling and longtime choreographer, Wade Robson, detailing pain following years of accusing Michael Jackson of abuse.
“It warms my heart to see an older man take his time to even speak on such a subject!!!” the 42-year-old pop artist wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post on Friday, with a black-and-white video of Wade.
In the short video, the dancer, 41, posted on his profile a couple of days back, he promoted his “From Trauma to Triumph” podcast and captioned the episode that featured an interview with Dr. Peter A. Levine, an expert in “dissociation, shame, self-compassion, and the role of community in healing.”
In the video, the doctor stated that it is not necessary to recall every detail of one’s terrible experience to heal from it, which resonated with Spears.
Spears then went on to say that she “f-king” hates drinking, despite frequently being photographed with a drink in her hand when on vacation, and denied using narcotics. She also claimed to see one therapist.
The “Oops! … I Did It Again” singer ended her message by applauding the “older man” in the video, but it’s unclear if she was referring to Wade or Dr. Levine.
“I wanted to share this because it genuinely touched my heart to see this older man speak on something that’s incredibly sensitive to my heart !!!,” she wrote.
Spears and the choreographer have a lengthy and tangled history. They collaborated on many Grammy-winning music videos and globe tours, and the “Womanizer” singer even cheated on ex-Justin Timberlake with Wade.
Spears’ support for her former flame has been met with diverse reactions online.
