Charles-Quincy- Ascher-Einstein

The American-Swiss engineer Bernhard Caesar Einstein’s son, Charles Quincy Ascher Einstein, is well-known. Bernhard, the father of Charles, has worked for several businesses and institutions as an engineer.

Being the grandson of theoretical physicist Albert Einstein and the son of Swiss-American engineer and educator Hans Albert Einstein has also made him well-known.

In this article, we discussed all you need to know about the grandson of the greatest physicist, Charles Quincy Ascher Einstein.

Early life and family

In 1971, in Switzerland, Charles Quincy Ascher Einstein was born. In 2022, he will be 51 years old. He is one of Doris Aude Ascher and Bernhard Caesar Einstein’s five children. Mira Einstein-Yehieli, Paul Michael Einstein, Eduard Albert “Ted” Einstein and Thomas Martin Einstein are his four siblings.

Switzerland is where Thomas was born in 1955. In 2022, he will be 67 years old. Paul was born in Switzerland in 1959. In 2022, he will be 63 years old. Hans Albert and Frieda Einstein’s grandson is Charles Quincy Ascher Einstein. Longtime professor of hydraulic engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, Hans Albert Einstein was both an engineer and an educator.

Charles Ascher, Jr. Theoretical scientist Albert Einstein, who is regarded as one of history’s finest and most significant physicists, is the great-grandfather of Einstein. Mileva Marić was a Serbian mathematician and physicist who was also his great-grandmother.

We are currently investigating and will update this area. Regarding Charles Quincy Ascher Einstein’s educational history, we do not currently have any information.

Charles Ascher, Jr. Einstein is said to be making a living off of his unpublished research. According to reports, he was a spokesperson for a major Swiss hospital. He used to sell computer games at a business he owned named Einstein’s World since he was an avid player growing up.

Bernhard Caesar Einstein, his father, was an engineer. He joined the US Army in 1954. Southern Germany was where Bernhard was stationed. After being released, he submitted his application at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zürich, Switzerland, and was accepted. He made the decision to continue the family tradition of his father and grandparents by studying physics at the ETH.

At ETH, Bernhard Caesar Einstein graduated with a diploma. After returning to the US, he finally started working as an engineer for Texas Instruments in Dallas, Texas. He moved to California and was employed in the San Francisco Bay Area at Litton Industries.

An expert in electron tube technology, particularly in light amplification systems for night vision, was Bernhard Caesar Einstein. He obtained and was awarded four US patents pertaining to light amplification technologies while working for Litton Industries.

Returning to Switzerland in 1974, Bernhard Caesar Einstein worked on laser technology at the Swiss Army Research Lab in Thun, where he was awarded a second US patent.

About His Father: Bernhard Caesar Einstein

On July 10, 1930, Bernhard Caesar Einstein was born in Dortmund, Germany. Frieda Einstein was his mother, while Hans Albert Einstein was his father. Engineer Bernhard was Swiss-American and the only biological grandchild of Albert Einstein to reach adulthood.

Up until he was eight years old, Bernhard lived his early years in Switzerland. By then, Albert, his grandpa, had counseled his father to immigrate to the US in order to escape the persecution of Jews by the Nazis.

In 1933, Hans Albert moved to South Carolina with his spouse and Bernhard, on his father’s advice. After landing a job as a civil engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, he went on to become a professor at the California Institute of Technology. Bernhard spent his adolescent years growing up in Pasadena as a result.

When Bernhard first saw his grandfather, he was two years old. He stayed in New Jersey and Saranac Lake with the renowned scientist. Albert must have had a sincere relationship with his grandson since, upon his death in 1955, he bequeathed his violin and a respectable sum of money to him.

Education and Career

In high school and even during his first two years of college at the University of California, Berkeley, Einstein did not take his studies seriously. At UC, his only area of proficiency was German. He joined the US Army in 1954 and completed his basic training at Fort Ord, which is located close to Monterey, California.

While stationed in southern Germany, he got to know Doris Aude Ascher, the woman he would eventually marry in 1954. After being discharged from the army, Einstein applied to and was accepted into the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zürich, Switzerland. He attributed his development of self-discipline to his time in the army. He went to the ETH to study physics, carrying on the family tradition started by his father and grandparents.

After graduating from ETH, Einstein went back to the US and started working as an engineer in Dallas, Texas, for Texas Instruments.

After that, Einstein relocated to California and began working in the San Francisco Bay Area at Litton Industries. Electron tube technology, especially light amplification systems for night vision, was his specialty. While employed by Litton Industries, he applied for and was granted four U.S. patents pertaining to light amplification technologies.

Spouse and Children

Doris Aude Ascher was a woman Bernhard met while he was posted to southern Germany. After getting hitched in 1954, they had five kids:

  • Swiss-born Thomas Martin Einstein was born in 1955.
  • Swiss-born Paul Michael Einstein was born in 1959.
  • 1961 saw the birth of Eduard Albert “Ted” Einstein in Dallas, Texas.
  • Mira Einstein-Yehieli (American, born in 1965)
  • The American-born Charles Quincy Ascher “Charly” Einstein was born in 1971.

Other details

Bernhard Einstein was admitted to the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule) in Zurich following his time in the armed forces. He returned to the United States and found work at Texas Instruments in Dallas after graduating from ETH.

After that, Bernhard moved back to California and started working in the San Francisco Bay Area for Litton Industries. His area of expertise was light amplification for night vision devices. He applied for and received four patents related to light amplification research while he was employed there.

Later, Bernhard returned to his native Switzerland and took a job at the Swiss Army Research Lab. He received another U.S. patent while he was there. At the age of 78, Bernhard passed away in Switzerland on September 30, 2008.
