Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron will once again share the screen in their latest romantic comedy. This time, the pair has stepped up the heat.
The trailer for their latest film, A Family Affair, was released on Wednesday, May 29, and fans were treated to sensual moments with the 56-year-old Oscar winner and the 36-year-old actor.
The film’s plot revolves around a young woman named Zara, played by Joey King, who works as an assistant to a narcissistic and womanizing movie star, Chris Cole, played by Zac. Zara is shocked to learn that her boss and her widowed mother are having an affair after she quits her job with him.
“A surprising romance kicks off comic consequences for a young woman, her mother, and her movie star boss as they face the complications of love, sex, and identity,” according to the movie’s description on Netflix.
Fans were divided over the trailer for the romantic comedy, which showed Zac and Nicole’s characters unable to keep their hands off each other.
Zac, who called the film “funny, romantic, and entertaining,” acknowledged he was first “apprehensive” about appearing in it.
He said: “I was still a bit apprehensive but reuniting with Nicole is always so great and as talented as she is an actress, she is equally kind, caring, and wonderful to spend time with.”
The relationship between their characters is “seamless, natural, and fun,” says the skilled actor.
Joey, a 24-year-old actor, felt it “iconic” to be able to name The Hours star her mother on screen.
