Unexpectedly, Clarkson addressed the claims and admitted to taking a weight-loss drug. But she made it clear that it’s not the widely used medication Ozempic.

When the 41-year-old succeeded in losing almost 41 pounds in 2023, many were taken aback. Rumors regarding her use of Ozempic were among the many unanswered questions raised by her incredible weight loss journey.

During a recent episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show with Whoopi Goldberg, in sharing her story, the talk show presenter acknowledged that, contrary to popular belief, she did depend on a medication that her doctor had recommended for weight loss.

Clarkson said to Goldberg, “Every time I run into you, you look younger! You’re like Benjamin Button. It’s like crazy every time you walk in!”

Following the 64-year-old’s account of her experience, Clarkson did not lose any time in discussing her own weight reduction story, making it clear that it was not like what many people had believed.

The singer said, “My doctor chased me for two years, and I was like, ‘No, I’m afraid of it. I already have thyroid problems. Everybody thinks it’s Ozempic, but it’s not. It’s something else.”

Kelly Clarkson made it clear that she takes medicine to improve her body’s ability to process sugar. She made it clear that this is not the well-known diabetic medication Ozempic, which functions by controlling hunger hormones in the brain.

She stated, “I don’t take Ozempic,” a prescription drug for type 2 diabetes that has been licensed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
