The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent their final day in Nigeria on Sunday at a function held at the Lagos State Government House. During one of the events, she took the stage and thanked the audience for welcoming her and Harry.

She also admitted that she didn’t spend the holiday with her children, Lilibet and Archie, but she went on to say that Nigeria, which she referred to as the “motherland,” wasn’t a terrible substitute.

“I’m very, very grateful and very humbled,” she exclaimed. And today’s Mother’s Day — so it feels appropriate. Although,  of course, we are missing our children, I’m missing my babies. It feels very appropriate to be in the motherland and amongst friends.”

The Duchess continued by expressing gratitude to everyone for their warm hospitality throughout their three-day stay, which was intended to act as a kind of unofficial royal tour during which they attended numerous receptions and socialized with numerous residents.

Naturally, they used to do this kind of thing in England before deciding to leave the Royal family and immigrate to the United States.

We are aware that they are all involved in commercial and entertainment endeavors here, but they are also actively involved in charitable activities during this trip.

Harry and Meghan announced that they would return to Nigeria, so one can only speculate as to where they would head next.
