What if you purchased the ticket in the last 24 hours?
If you purchased your ticket from Air France—either online or at a ticket office—you can cancel your reservation and receive a full refund within 24 hours at no additional cost.
Send an email to email@example.com with the following information:
- Subject: Customer First Program Name
- Flight and date
- Booking number
If you cancel before midnight on the same day, your bank account will not be debited. If you cancel your flight within 24 hours but after midnight, your bank account will be reimbursed the full amount minus any non-refundable service costs.
How long does an Air France refund take?
A good amount of patience will come in handy if you’re waiting for a flight refund. A refund request from Air France might normally take several weeks to process.
Depending on your bank, it could take another couple of weeks for the money to appear in your bank account.
What Happens If There Is a Long Flight Delay?

How to cancel an Air France flight: your options
Online is the most convenient way to cancel an Air France flight.
Navigate to the My Bookings section of the Air France website. You’ll need the surname of the lead passenger and your booking reference to sign in. This information will be included in your confirmation email or e-ticket.
You should be able to see your options for changing or canceling your flights, as well as any fees or charges.
