How to Request an Air France Refund

If there is no option to seek a refund on the website, you should fill out the refund request form.
If you have already checked in for the flight, you should cancel it online before requesting a refund.
Request a Refund by Letter or Fax
If you prefer to mail your refund request, you must include supporting papers such as:
- Issued tickets
- Medical records
- A letter explaining why you had to cancel the trip, etc
Only original documents are accepted.

What if you purchased the ticket in the last 24 hours?
If you purchased your ticket from Air France—either online or at a ticket office—you can cancel your reservation and receive a full refund within 24 hours at no additional cost.
Send an email to contact.en.us@airfrance.fr with the following information:
- Subject: Customer First Program Name
- Flight and date
- Booking number
If you cancel before midnight on the same day, your bank account will not be debited. If you cancel your flight within 24 hours but after midnight, your bank account will be reimbursed the full amount minus any non-refundable service costs.
How long does an Air France refund take?
A good amount of patience will come in handy if you’re waiting for a flight refund. A refund request from Air France might normally take several weeks to process.
Depending on your bank, it could take another couple of weeks for the money to appear in your bank account.
What Happens If There Is a Long Flight Delay?
Who is to blame if your flight is delayed for an extended period of time? That will be determined by the circumstances. If your flight is delayed for more than five hours and you opt not to fly, you are entitled to a full refund.
In the event of a lengthy delay, Air France will provide emergency assistance such as meals, refreshments, phone calls, and, if necessary, one night’s hotel accommodation.

How to cancel an Air France flight: your options
Online is the most convenient way to cancel an Air France flight.
Navigate to the My Bookings section of the Air France website. You’ll need the surname of the lead passenger and your booking reference to sign in. This information will be included in your confirmation email or e-ticket.
You should be able to see your options for changing or canceling your flights, as well as any fees or charges.
Cancelling Air France flights by phone

Some airlines provide a 24-hour cancellation window within which you can cancel your reservation and receive a full refund.
Air France’s website contains no information on this, so it may not have such a policy. If you booked less than 24 hours ago, you can try contacting Air France customer support or looking at your alternatives in My Bookings.
