Johnny Wactor, an actor best known for appearing in nearly 200 episodes of “General Hospital,” has died, TMZ reports.

Wactor was shot and died in downtown Los Angeles early Saturday morning, his mother Scarlett told TMZ. She stated that Johnny was with a coworker when they spotted three individuals tampering with Johnny’s car.

While investigators have not revealed his identity, this is consistent with a report of three individuals attempting to steal a catalytic converter.

Scarlett claims she was told Johnny didn’t try to resist or stop them, but the men shot him nevertheless before fleeing.

According to authorities, paramedics arrived at the site shortly after 3 a.m. PT. He was pronounced dead in the hospital.

Police have not released a description of the perpetrators, but Johnny’s mother hopes they are apprehended shortly.

Johnny began his acting career in 2007 on the hit Lifetime show “Army Wives,” portraying a variety of roles before steadily working for the next two decades.

Some of his more notable credits include “Westworld,” “The OA,” “NCIS,” “Station 19,” “Criminal Minds,” and “Hollywood Girl.”

Many of Johnny’s fans may remember him from his stint on ‘GH’, where he played Brando Corbin, who was married to heroin addict Sasha Corbin on the show.

He portrayed the part from 2020 till his character was removed from the show in 2022. Wactor’s mother remembers him as a lovely young guy, and his loss has left a large hole in the family’s heart.

He is survived by his mother and two younger brothers, Lance and Grant. He was 37.
